Surfacing

Surfacing welding is a process in which materials with certain properties are deposited on the surface of workpieces by welding. The purpose of surfacing welding is different from general welding methods. It is not to connect workpieces, but to modify the surface of workpieces.

In this way, it is possible to obtain a cladding layer with special properties such as wear resistance, heat resistance, and corrosion resistance, or to restore the insufficient size of the workpiece caused by wear or processing errors.

LANScientific coating series analyzers are suitable for composition analysis and thickness analysis of various surfacing welding, for example, thickness monitoring of surfacing welding process in the production process, or field testing of high alloy steel on gas turbines and hydroelectric turbines.

Material Reliability for the Aviation and Space Industry

The fundamental task of the surface treatment technology of aerospace materials is to make the material form a new surface through surface treatment, so as to enhance the performance of the material or give the material new functions. Common surface treatment methods mainly include: anodic oxidation, micro-arc oxidation, electroplating, thermal spraying, vapor deposition, and high-energy beam treatment. To meet specific surface treatment testing applications in the aerospace industry, LANScientific provides durable and high-precision testing instruments.

Medical Instruments

Parts of medical devices must comply with very strict safety and quality standards. LANScientific analytical instruments can accurately measure the composition and thickness of medical devices, and meet the requirements of regulations for coating thickness measurement.

Metal Roof

Metal sheets have been used as roofing materials in the construction industry for a hundred years. With the rapid development of the metallurgical industry, various types of metal sheets are widely used in the construction industry to ensure that the roof can meet technical requirements and specifications. The thickness of the coating layer can be measured at one time by using the LANScientific analyzer, such as the thickness of the zinc layer on iron.
